Senior Game Designer

At TreesPlease Games our mission is to make games that are good for the planet and are played by millions. We are a small but expanding team of friendly, ambitious and truly diverse game makers. If you are passionate about changing the world through world class games then we’d love to hear from you.

The Role

We're looking for a senior designer who can dive right into the role and take charge of developing innovative game features and live events that will help us maximise Longleaf Valley's success. In close collaboration with the Design Director and our team, this individual should be an effective advocate for our audience, deeply committed to the value that casual games can provide and able to design with the audience's interests in mind.

As a key member of our tight-knit and expanding team, this role is perfect for a Senior Designer who is eager to take on greater responsibilities and make a real impact on a rapidly growing game with huge amounts of potential.

  • Identify and design impactful live-ops, features and content that resonate with our casual audience.

  • Collaborate with the Game Lead and other stakeholders on the game roadmap.

  • Take ownership of designs from product brief to release, overseeing and actively contributing to the implementation process.

  • Take ownership and responsibility of key areas of the game, such as gameplay content and live-ops.

  • Continuously analyse and enhance all areas of design throughout a player's journey.

  • Work closely with a multi-discipline team to predict dependencies and plan tasks to meet project deliverables.

  • Leading and mentoring other designers on the team.

Your skills and experience

  • Proven experience designing and owning systems, features and events for both new and live F2P mobile games.

  • Broad design experience and the ability to work on different aspects of design (such as system, narrative, economy, UX and level design).

  • A passion and thorough knowledge of casual games and designing for our diverse audience.

  • Ability to analyse and use both qualitative and quantitative data to inform design decisions.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present your work and ideas clearly and effectively to cross-functional teams.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and a natural curiosity to tackle new challenges.

What we offer

  • EMI share options in an early stage company.

  • Fantastic opportunity to make games that change the world, that you can be proud of.

  • Chance to be part of an awesome small team where your voice is heard.

  • Open, friendly, ambitious and truly diverse culture.

  • Hybrid working- work in a London office and from home.

  • Summer and Christmas social events.

At TreesPlease we are committed to hiring a diverse and inclusive team. We actively encourage candidates from all backgrounds to apply.
